Her Smile

I remember what she had said From a book of philosophy she had read, Let your beam of happiness be spacious And always be pleased, and gracious. Keep life simple and always smile But, not for a moment or just a while, Look at the world and then just give a grin And then close your eyes, and do it again. Let your smile change the world Let your joy and happiness be unfurled, And before you get angry and lose your temper; She then looked at me, and then gave me a simper. I still remember the words that she spoke They've have become my spiritual yoke, Now when I am bombarded with frowns or guile I won't let it change my soul, I smile. Randy L. McClave
