She Blinded Herself

She told me that she couldn't hear So, instead she had to read my lips, She was deaf, but she spoke to me without a tear As I looked at her shapely hips. I wrote her poems in the sand I pronounced every syllable so she could see, Then I learnt to speak to her with my hand So, she could truly understand me. She was in my thoughts and my desires And also in my dreams as well, She ignited all of my fires Then she pulled me out of the depths of hell. With her I would always flirt And I would always care and treat her kind, But, I felt as though I was treated like dirt Besides being deaf, she was also blind. Randy L. McClave
