Dreams Keep You Alive

I lie in bed and close my eyes I see you here with me Then I suddenly awake But it's you I do not see There goes my mind again Playing tricks on me I wonder why late at night My dreams always haunt me I lost you four ago To this very day The memories I have of you Will live in me to stay Not that that's a bad thing As I loved you so very much But it hurts for to see your face And not get to feel your touch Some nights when it's very quiet Sometimes I think I hear your voice I know that impossible But, it still makes me rejoice I still keep your picture On the dresser with your ring I look at your picture as tears fall But yet I still feel like that King You always said, you felt like a Queen As we walked and I held your hand I said to you, I'll be your King Your every wish is my command You would always smile Then say, "I Love You" I would look you in the eye Then say, "I Love You" to I don't have much to live for these days As my body is getting tired and old My last wish here on earth would be One last time to have you to hold But I know that is impossible It's a dream that won't come true But I know something that is for sure Very shortly, I'll be joining you 1-9-19/RjH
