I Cannot Escape

I CANNOT ESCAPE I cannot escape I make the same efforts Over and over I hope blindly The next time will be different- It is not I do what I do And I do it again and again- I need a new way A way out- I have no idea whatsoever how to find it- The sages are right One cannot escape the prison by oneself- I do not know what to do- Writing this poem is too Once again doing the same thing That did not work previously- How will I get out? With the years With the repeated discouragements Closer to the end More and more I fear This is it I will never get out- And when the day of reckoning comes It will be far worse More pain and humiliation= In the last years Even a worse prison Than I have known until now.
