This is the bus tour crossing the border Passing the trash of crass disorder Carrier bags in the rowan trees Snagged on wires by a sturdy breeze Yoghurt cartons amongst the whins Has nobody heard of wheelie bins? Tins from a picnic, rambler's treat Grease from a barbecue's surplus meat Cigarette packs where the violets grow Syringes dumped where the harebells blow Toilet roll, tin foil, glass, dog poo Hung on branches where deer walk through Wet wipes, cotton buds, nappy sacks Pizza boxes and chocolate wraps Man's mark everywhere, blot and stain Rotting, soggy in sun and rain
