Advent Celebrations (2)

Advent Celebrations (2) Advent is a four-week season of reflective preparation for Christ's Nativity at Christmas and Christ's expected return in the Second Coming. Each week of Advent focuses on a different theme - Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love. Here is a brief description of Week 1: Hope - The first candle of the Advent wreath is lit on Sunday 3 December. It symbolizes Hope and represents the prophets who foretold the coming of the Messiah. We are now in Week 2: Peace - The second candle is lit on Sunday 10 December. It symbolizes Peace and the Bethlehem Candle.
