Earth's flat
As we look thoughtlessly
(Hills and mounds ignored)
Accepted that way
For a long long time.
Wisdom of man
Grew leaps and bounds
Realization occurred
Made it round and it turns
Round and round.
It made a difference
Of night and day
Seasons changed as earth
Traversed around the sun
Phases of moon hit the tides.
Whole galaxy
Seems to have been mapped
Man's search never stopped
Unknown's stretched farther
Beyond imagination.
