A Katabatic Wind

Altın Yaprak
grey sunless morn,
smothering sadness
pent up for reasons
not known to me …
now flows down like
a katabatic wind
cold and dry, in an
inundating landslide.
Sun shouts through the hills.
Note:
A katabatic wind (named from Ancient Greek katábasis meaning 'descent', also spelt as ‘catabatic') is a drainage wind, a wind that carries high-density air from a higher elevation down a slope under the force of gravity. Such winds are sometimes also called "fall winds". Katabatic winds can rush down elevated slopes at hurricane speeds, but most are not that intense.
