When I See

When I see the farmers in hoards
Knock the doors
Of the apathetic government,
When I see the hands that feed us
Raised with folded fists
And lips chant woeful slogans,
When I see the turbaned heads
That do not bow low
On the slants of the scums in power,
I hear the hurried hearts beat
On fear of their lives
Getting stolen right before their eyes,
I am reminded of the lines of William Blake
"A dog starved at his master's gate
Predicts the ruin of the State".
