All That Which Shines Above

Altın Yaprak
I cannot move a mountain
Nor stem the turning tide
I cannot stop a raging storm
Nor make the stars collide
There are no ways to vanquish
The heartache that I see
And, no, I can't deliver
A world that's safe and free
But every small endeavour
To make a person smile
Is all that we can offer
So contemplate awhile
To see what can be salvaged
From this unhappy world
Some random acts of kindness
Which need to be unfurled
Let's make this Christmas season
A time to give some love
A time to thus remember
All that which shines above
