I Am Here

Listen, listen close my friend - on this night of fear and terror I will slide into your body and you will become my host for I am a ghost. I am an unbridled spirit lost and desolate in oblivion - looking for a place of peace where I can rest my weary soul. But this, not until I have found a resolution to my plight - for retribution is my purpose, and I will visit and haunt the night lingering in the shadows. I shall speak my truth through your silent lips - of how I was taken, taken and restrained against my will. I was accused of witchcraft, flogged, and burnt at the stake - I left this world screaming, howling and screeching in agony. But now I have returned, and I am back to avenge my accusers - I am no witch, merely a woman of humble birth and little worth. So I will slide into your body and speak my truth to the world - addressing those who accused, abused and tortured my innocent soul. And they too shall burn, burn upon the bonfires being lit on this night - for my fury will lift them high above the land, and I will then drop them, as they twist and turn, without mercy or remorse, into the dancing, scorching flames below. I will hear their screams, and I will laugh, and I will cackle at their agony. So, take heed my wrongful accusers - If you are resurrected here, now, at this time. I will know who you are.
