Goodbye 2020

Goodbye....2020 The dim lit lamp is slowly burning out The wick is in its final flashing glow The year 2020 will soon be fading out Through ups and downs life did flow When many succumbed to the inevitable end Thank God! We have braved the strife! Though waded through the mire of adversities 2020 has shown us many facets of life The year has given us a mixed pack Though many a time faltered and burnt And ‘felt a Funeral, in our brain' From you much we have perused and learnt Taught us that we have been riding in paper airplanes Blissfully ignorant and staying in brittle glass castles The thrust of a wanton boy's catapulted stone Could break the much guarded edifice into mere shards! As the year is receding back into intergalactic space The New Year is around to infuse breath into tired lungs Let it dawn as the incandescent full moon Shine lustrous, bringing peace and joy in tons! ! Also Good bye to poem hunter and all my dear friends here especially to my close friends like Bri Edwards, Kumaramani Mahakul, Rose Marie, Khairul and the like as I wish to take a long break. I find the new format not at all ‘user friendly' and I don't have enough time to spare.... Wish all of you a Happy New Year!
