Life is never a fairy tale Where everything ends in style Lands of princes and princesses Remain only in Dream's recesses Life is far from being fantastic To believe otherwise is quixotic Evil is never punished as one deserves Virtue never recognized as one craves Hard work never guarantees success Rewards are heaped on some in excess People of character and calibre are non-existent Morals and values are seen as insignificant Violence predominates over peace Empty ideologies never put us at ease Bandage cannot cover gushing wounds We need solid action, not hollow words
