Life Has Changed

Things are certainly different now that the "Corona Virus" has raised its ugly head. I was planning on attending the Utah State Poetry Festival this year, but it's been canceled. My friend Hank Beuning and I were going to compete in the Utah Senior Chess Championship, but it has now been canceled, just as I am playing the best chess of my life. I have played in two tournaments this year, and taken first place in both. People our age have been advised to stay home and not go anywhere, but what kind of life is that? Hank and I can't even go to McDonald's anymore for our usual chess games, because now McDonald's is only open for drive-through customers. Kids can't go inside and use the playground anymore. Parents have to entertain their own kids now! That's not such a bad thing in itself, but where in the world, and how, will this all end?
