Coming After

First they came for the Illegal immigrants But, I didn't worry or care, For them there were massive hunts And I didn't even give them help or a prayer. Even when all the farmers had cried, Crying that their crops had all died. Then they came after the needy and the poor But, once again I didn't care at all, No longer will they be pestering me at the store And never again about them will I call the law. Now I think and I wonder where are they, And for them or their suffering I never did once pray. Then they came after the different religions But, I didn't care one small bit, My religion is better than any other reason And for them I never worried or had a fit. I enjoy watching and giving to megachurches on TV, I believe God is truly happy with me. Then they came after all non Americans But, I didn't care as my family has been here since the early 18th century And I also have a houseful of rifles and guns My family is a part of America's great history. After those fake Americans they are coming, As I happily hear the fife piping and the drummers drumming. They then came after those getting Social Security But, I didn't care one small bit, I also have a 401k and I get a pension for my maturity I am in great shape I'll happily admit. Then I remembered how social security was pulled out by the roots, By the wealthy and powerful people in suits. Then they came after me and others like me Now I didn't know what I or others like me could do, No longer am I one of the proud or brave or the free Life as I know it I now have not one clue. I have begged and prayed for help as I stay in constant fear, But, sadly the good caring people are no longer here. Randy L. McClave
