I'm Done

I'm done I lost, everyone else has won, I'm no pretender I surrender. I give up on dating I'm tired of the searching and waiting, Sadness and humiliation is the cost I lost. I am tired of hoping to meet that one It's just a con, It's much simpler just to read a book No longer will I look. I'm tired of an empty life and house I'm tired of not having a girlfriend or a spouse, I have many times soulfully cried Thinking, maybe she died. I'm always striking out Wish I could just forget and pout, I don't know the rhyme or reason Maybe, I think it's the season. I am tired From past relationships being fired, Because, I wanted a forever I got never. I'm tired of all the games And the many lies and the false claims, Looks I'm tired of falling for No more. Others have found their other half At me I know that they just laugh, That fact I sorrowfully admit I just quit. Randy L. McClave
