On The Couch, Alone

I love sleeping on the couch all alone Never for loneliness do you hear me moan, And if I have sorrow or an ache or a pain No one ever hears me on the couch complain. I stretch out my legs as far as I want As if to the couch I am trying to show off or flaunt, And I will turn back and forth as much as I can And I do this, because I am a man. No one will complain about me tossing or turning Or about the feelings that I am currently yearning, And no one will judge, for who's sleeping with me Because, I'm alone on the couch and it's very comfy. And if in the morning if I'm ever asked how did I sleep With honesty and a smile I will say very deep, And at no one do I ever wake up angry or mad I always wake up happy, and refreshed, and glad. While on the couch I finally think only about myself While other peoples worries or problems are not on my shelf, And never while doing a good thing does it turn out being the worst When sleeping on the couch, I finally put myself first. If I talk in my sleep no one one will nudge me and then stare Because on the couch with me no one does care, While others are sleeping in other beds in my house I truly enjoy sleeping alone, on my couch.
