The Best Storyteller

The best storyteller that there is Better than any actor there is in show biz, Better than any country singer singing a sad song Singing how life has done him so very wrong. Better than any speaking politician Who's on his own declared fact finding mission, And better than any elementary school teacher Or any hell speaking preacher. Better than any beggar upon the street Speaking about how poverty he did meet, Even better than the proud parent who has a story to say Or the fisherman telling how the big one got away. Better than any person speaking to a cop Why they were speeding or why they didn't stop, Better than an ex-sports figure telling his uplifting story Of dreams then of pain and suffering, and then of glory. No one tells a story any better Even the person speaking or pleading as a debtor, No one can spread on more sugar or honey Than someone who needs to borrow some money. Randy L. McClave
