Versoem is an independent digital archive and reading platform, built to gather literature’s scattered memory in one place. Our aim is to bring readers the poems and writings left over the years in different magazines, books and corners of the internet — keeping their author, their year and their context intact. The archive belongs to no single language: it is read in thirteen languages, and each language keeps its own tradition in its own terms.
What we do
- We record each poem together with its poet, period, verse form and themes.
- We give readers collections, reading lists and tags so they can build a selection of their own.
- We keep the conversation around a poem alive with comments, ratings, clubs and a dictionary.
- We verify identity before handing a poet's page over to the person who manages it.
How we treat copyright
The copyright of every poem here belongs to its poet or to whoever holds the rights. The archive is open for information and education, not for profit. If you hold the rights to a work and want it removed or its details corrected, write to the address on our contact page and we will settle the request as quickly as we can.
How you can contribute
Sign up and the archive grows with you: read poems, write comments, add terms to the dictionary, put collections together. Your work shows up as contribution points and badges — neither of which can be bought.
