By using Versoem you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
1. Membership
- Membership is free; some features belong to paid plans.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your password to yourself.
- One person, one account. Accounts that take on someone else's name, identity or authorship are closed.
- Children under thirteen may not become members.
2. Content and copyright
- The comments, dictionary answers, collections and poems you share remain yours; you grant us the right to publish and display them on the site.
- Uploading someone else's work without holding the rights to it is not allowed.
- The poems in the archive are copyright of their poets; cite the source when you quote from the site.
- Content is taken down when the rights holder asks for it.
3. Community rules
The following will get content hidden or an account closed:
- Insults, hate speech, harassment and threats
- Advertising, spam and misleading links
- Trying to inflate ratings, likes or contribution points
- Sharing another member's personal details without permission
4. Moderation
A new member's first comments and dictionary answers go through an editor. Reported content is reviewed; where the report is upheld the content is hidden and its author is notified. If you think a decision was unfair, you can appeal through the contact page.
5. Paid plans
- Prices and what each plan includes are shown on the membership page; if anything changes, the old terms stay in force until the end of your current period.
- Payments are taken through our payment provider; card details are never stored on our site.
- You may withdraw within fourteen days as long as you have not started using the service.
- A free feature is never moved behind a paywall; only new features may belong to a plan.
6. Closing your account
You can ask us to close your account at any time through the contact page. Once it is closed your comments and contributions are anonymised; poem records stay in place so the archive remains whole.
7. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. We announce important changes on the site; the date of the last update is at the top of this page.
