Cookie Privacy Notice

What personal data is processed through cookies.

Last updated: 27.07.2026

This notice explains, under article 10 of the Turkish data protection law, how personal data is processed through cookies on Versoem. The full list of the cookies we use is on the Cookie Policy page.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file your browser keeps on your device while you visit a site. Your browser sends it back with the next page request, which is how the site remembers you and your preferences.

Data processed through cookies

  • Strictly necessary: session id, sign-in state, form security token, your cookie choice. The site does not work without this group.
  • Performance: aggregate figures such as how often a page is read. They are never matched to your identity.
  • Functional: interface preferences such as reading mode, typeface and line spacing.
  • Targeting: showing content matched to your interests in ad slots. Without your consent, ads are not personalised.
  • Social media: cookies set by other platforms so that sharing tools work.

In the spam protection within the necessary group (Google reCAPTCHA v3), your IP address and interaction data on the page are processed by Google on servers abroad. This transfer happens only on pages containing the contact form and solely to prevent abuse of that form; it is not used for any other purpose and is not stored by us.

If you allow the performance group, visit measurement (Google Analytics) is activated and your IP address and browsing data are processed by Google on servers abroad. This transfer rests solely on your explicit consent: as long as you do not consent, the measurement script is not loaded and no data reaches Google. You can withdraw your consent at any time from the cookie settings.

Legal basis and consent

Strictly necessary cookies rely on legitimate interest (art. 5/2-f); every other group runs only with your explicit consent (art. 5/1). Until you make a choice in the banner shown on your first visit, nothing outside the necessary group is switched on.

Withdrawing your consent

You can change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer, and clear cookies from your browser settings. Withdrawing consent does not undo processing that was lawful up to that point.

How long they are kept

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Your cookie choice is kept for a year; after that the banner appears again.

We use cookies to give you a better reading experience. Your personal data is processed under data protection law, and you can change which cookies you allow at any time.
